C.WASH PLUS Plate Washer Allows Reusing of Artel MVS® Microplates

The C.WASH PLUS automated microplate washer was evaluated for its ability to completely remove Artel MVS® colorimetric dye from 96- and 384-well microplates, enabling reliable plate re-use in sensitive quantitative assay workflows.

Using a stringent complementary checkerboard dispensing strategy — in which Artel dye is placed into alternating wells, the plate washed, and dye then placed into the complementary set of wells — zero carryover signal was detected in any formerly dye-containing well following two standard C.WASH PLUS wash cycles.

Dye was dispensed in nanoliter volumes using the I.DOT non-contact dispenser, and all signals were quantified using the Artel MVS® Multichannel Verification System. Results confirm that C.WASH PLUS washing performance is sufficient to support plate re-use in quantitative colorimetric applications.
